The USCG-AUX supports the Operation of the U. S. Coast Guard station Oswego , including assistance with Search and Rescue ( SAR) cases, Radio Watch Standing, Safety Patrols of the Waterways and other Station Duties as assigned. The members and officers of Flotilla 092-02-04 are active in conducting free vessel safety checks for recreational boaters, teaching boating safety classes, making marine dealer visits, and promoting the wearing of life jackets and general boating safety. The USCG - Aux provides hands on training in Search and Rescue ( SAR) Operations , Crew and Coxswain Training, Communications / Radio Watch Standing at USCG Station Oswego and back up Crew to the Coast Guard Station . Several members offer their personal watercraft as a Patrol Facility.
Flotilla 02-04 meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month, 1830 hours at USCG Station OswegoVessel Safety Checks
